Waiting Game

Its been more than a week since mom had a sip of water. Her heart rate is as if she is sprinting and breathing has gotten shallower. She sleeps most of the time and morphine is her only respite. It’s impossible to give her anything, since she can’t swallow anymore.

In between her 23+ hours a day sleep, she wakes up and looks. Her eyes tell it all. She is aware and knows whats going on around her. She can’t move or communicate much, she is too weak for that but a tear would roll down her dark sunken eyes..

If it is at all possible my advice is to ‘forget time’. Enjoy every second that Allah has Blessed her with to be with you.

Focus on the chances Allah has given you. I know that it is not easy and tough. It is the most dearest person in your life — your flesh and blood. It hurts but your need is to stand tall, be brave — easy to say but I know hard to apply. We are helpless in this situation and cannot give as much as we wish, our life to her and help her by taking away her misery. All for a reason. We human beings are helpless and unable to see through Allah’s Actions. He knows what is best for all of us.

Prayers are the only good deed we can offer and that is the way to put your thoughts to work for you and your dear mom.

Do we have the power to question and ask ‘Why’?? Allah is incharge of us and He is the Only One who knows what is best for your mother and why. We do not question and all we can do is pray and understand that Allah has His own reasons. Let us bow down before HIm and pray and be strong to accept as He wishes us to be. Your strength will transfer to your dear mom and we pray that Allah Blesses her and gives her the peace that is due her and she deserves by being a loyal servant of Allah, believing in Him and understanding that there is a reason why Allah is holding on to time — and why your dear mom is suffering on earth. All that is in our power now are the prayers we can continuously shower her with and May Allah Bless her so she does not suffer more in this world and beyond.

If she is not able to eat or swallow, how about a drip through her veins?? I am sure it is applied and with that may come some more strength??
